This video shows a uniaxial tensile test of porcine annulus fibrosus tissue performed using the CellScale BioTester and patented BioRake grippers.

Annulus fibrosus tissue exhibits nonlinear and anisotropic mechanical behavior that is difficult to characterize using conventional grips. BioRakes enable secure attachment of soft biological tissues during tensile loading.
