This video demonstrates the procedure for performing parallel-plate compression testing on sub-millimeter hydrogel microspheres using the CellScale MicroTester (formerly MicroSquisher) testing system.
The demonstration covers sample handling, optical setup, specimen sizing, probe positioning, and execution of a displacement-controlled compression test. Real-time force, displacement, and image feedback are used to characterize microsphere deformation in the millinewton force range.
