Mechanical Stress Triggers Premature Senescence in Cardiac Fibroblasts

Applied uniaxial cyclic stretch to cardiac fibroblasts to mimic pathological mechanical environments. Found that abnormal strain triggers p53/p21-mediated senescence and nuclear envelope degradation.
